Why Choose a Prosthodontist
Prosthodontists have advanced training and experience in evaluating the condition of the teeth and oral structure in planning for the replacement of missing teeth and the restoration of existing teeth. (see Restorative Services).
Prosthodontists are also trained in the technical aspects of laboratory fabrication of complex dental prosthetics. Our emphasis is on diagnosis and treatment planning for patients with complex needs. We collaborate with other specialists, general dentists and technicians in developing a treatment plan. Our treatment discussion includes discussion of options, risks/benefits, treatment time and prognosis.
We are happy to provide you with the position statement, ‘What is a Prosthodontist and the Dental Specialty of Prosthodontics’, a Position Statement from the American College of Prosthodontists.
